Psychotherapy, Individual and Couples

Catherine McDonald,

Registered Psychotherapist, Co-founder

Catherine is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, who works with individuals and couples to navigate their challenges. Many of our reactions to life’s experiences—especially the ways we learn to protect ourselves from being hurt—can shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. Over time, these patterns can start to feel heavy or limiting. Catherine offers a safe, compassionate, and judgement-free space where you can slow things down, reflect on your experiences, and better understand yourself.

She supports clients in exploring past experiences, current challenges, and goals for the future at a pace that feels right for them. Catherine believes therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and she works to tailor the therapeutic process to each individual, ensuring your unique needs, strengths, and goals are honoured.

Catherine’s approach is collaborative and interdisciplinary. She values your perspective and sees therapy as a partnership—working together to identify what’s getting in the way and to develop practical, meaningful strategies for change. Her goal is to support you in building skills, increasing self-understanding, and moving toward the life you want to create.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure where to begin. To help make that first step easier, Catherine offers a free 15-minute consultation where you can ask questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
